Friday from 10:30-11:30, SIUC's administrative team will be in Colbert's gym for a meet and greet. If possible please wear Saluki merchandise or Maroon and black/gray for a group picture. Five students who will be attending SIUC will be called out of class during this time to meet with the Chancellor, Provost, and admission representatives. The Saluki Tour is hitting many high schools in the area, so let's be the "best" in welcoming them. Thank you!

CHS: Earth Day 2024 was an overwhelming success. Our students pulled together and worked hard to accomplish projects at various locations around the community. Our students then enjoyed a cookout and movie in the gym with our new audio/video system. Students should be very proud of their accomplishment and clear demonstration of a great work ethic and care for the Earth. We would like to thank our coordinators: Mrs. Hankins and Mrs. Mueller, our sponsors: Lee's Sports and Pepsi MidAmerica, our cooperating feeder schools: CGS, St. John's Lutheran, and St. Mary’s Catholic, as well as all of our hard working CHS students and staff.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Jr. Jacket boys track team for WINNING 1ST PLACE in the Large School Division at the County Track Meet today!!! You all did an AMAZING job!! And another HUGE congratulations to 8th grader, Danny Worley, on breaking a CGS track record today! Bruce Caldwell set the long jump record of 19'8" back in 1987...Danny jumped 19'9.5"!!! Way to make big strides, Danny!

CGS, St. John's, St. Mary's, CHS:
This Friday, 19 April, Chester District 139 will be celebrating Earth Day with St. John’s Lutheran School and St. Mary’s Catholic School. Students will be working cooperatively, beautifying the schools and at a variety of sites in the community. Good weather is predicted. Earth Day celebrations help remind us not to take the Earth and all it provides to us for granted. Students who bought Earth Day shirts are highly encouraged to wear them this Friday.
CHS: Tonight CHS FFA participated in the Agriculture Mechanics contest hosted at Mascoutah High School. Noah Homan placed 1st in welding which qualifies him for the state contest in May. Congrats to the team, and Noah for his placing!
